22.12. 2009 / KBA Rapida 75-5 in Belarus

KBA-Grafitec in close cooperation with its local dealer VIP Polygraphic materials has supplied Belarus with the first KBA Rapida 75-5 printing press. The owner of the press is the Akvarel Promkomplex company from Minsk. The Akvarel printshop held an Open Day on 10th November attended by around fifty guests.


Akvarel printhop CEO Alexandr Leonidovich Rusel (2nd right) and Production Manager Vladimir Borisovich Sovetov (3rd right) believe the new KBA RAPIDA 75 press will enable the printshop to extend their customer services.

The new printing press was presented to the representatives of the partner organisations from the Belarus publishing industry. They were welcomed by Alexander Rusel, the Executive Director of the Akvarel printshop. Mr Rusel acknowledged that the launch of the new printing press in the SRB2 format into operation will enable his printshop to extend their customer services. Immediately after the installation of the KBA Rapida 75-5 printing press the Akvarel Promkomplex received several new orders which optimally use the 530x750 mm format. In his speech, the Head of the Department for Production and Technical Development at the Ministry of Information, Mr Nikolaj Brasko valued the importance of the Akvarel Promkomplex role within the Belarus graphic art industry. He highlighted the decision of the company management to invest, despite the current economic situation, into modern printing presses such as the five-colour KBA Rapida 75. When Mr Brasko also assessed the value of graphic art industry in the society, he quoted Charles Dickens: "Of all the inventions and discoveries in science and art, of all major consequences of marvellous technical development, those of book printing take first place."
The press manufacturer, KBA-Grafitec, was represented by Mrs Zuzana Cejnarová. She presented the Executive Director of the printshop with a certificate to confirm that the company Akvarel Promkomplex is the first company in Belarus to purchase a KBA Rapida 75-5 printing press and to become an honorary customer of KBA. Mr Vladimír Potapov, the Head of the Publishing Centre of the National Education Institute from Minsk valued the high quality of the work preformed by the printshop employees as well as their attitude towards the implementation of publishing projects. After the Open Day ceremony, a visit to the Akvarel printshop, the presentation of the KBA Rapida 75-5 printing press took place. Mr Vladimír Sovetov, the Head of Printing Operation, presented detailed information on the printing press and its benefits. During the presentation, the KBA Rapida 75-5 printing press printed a poster on glossy paper, weighing 300 g/m². The discussion on the capabilities of the KBA Rapida 75-5 printing press continued in the Palace of the Republic of Minsk, where the final part of the Open Day continued in a less formal atmosphere.
