29.8.2005 / Sales of KBA-Grafitec on the Polish market exceed expectations
Dobruška / When in January 2005 the management of Grafitec prepared the launch of direct sales of Performer and Prestige sheet-fed offset machines on the Polish market, their plan included an optimistic, realistic and pessimistic version. The March acquisition, the incorporation of Dobruška into the KBA family and conception of KBA-Grafitec were, along with the strong marketing support and the excellent reputation of printing machines from Dobruška, the main engine of the current success on the Polish market.
In the first seven months of 2005 a total of eight printing machines, three of them under the new trade mark of KBA-Performa 66, and one Excel Dimension 425 CtP system from the American company Presstek, which KBA-Grafitec also represents on the Polish market, were contractually agreed and installed.
Four-colour Prestige 474 printing machines were installed this year at the printshops Offset Print Michalowice, Vacat Krakow and Via medica Gdansk, and five-colour Prestige 574 printing machines with dampener coater were installed for the customers DTL Porabka and Grafikon Wadowice, where the first Presstek Excel 425 chemical-free CtP system on the Polish market has also been installed. Czubinski-Druk Poznan has decided for a Performer 466.
Puls Michalowice purchased a four-colour KBA-Performa 66, while Multipol II ofKrakow bought a five-colour SRA2 format Performa 66.

Other installations are in the preparatory phase. Even now we can state that the optimistic version of expectations of January 2005 has been exceeded.
