Dobruška / The result of cooperation between Grafitec and Presstek are the first CtP Presstek installations in the CR.

At the end of October Grafitec specialists installed a CtP Dimension 400 at the printshop of Libor Losenický of Nové Město nad Metují and in the studio of the company 3P in Prague. Anthem printing plates are supplied by Grafitec, which maintains a buffer stock of plates in all required formats. Plates are restocked from the central European consignment stock in Amsterdam itself supplied from the USA.

CtP Presstek Dimension 400 is designed using the constructional principle of an external drum. Laser exposure is performed by means of red diodes. The wavelength of the laser is 915 nm. Maximum resolution is 2540 dpi and maximum linearity is 200 lpi. The machine can achieve performance of 20 plates per hour. Reproducibility is at a level of +/- 8 microns. Presstek also offers its CtP Dimension 400 in the Excel model.

Grafitec established co-operation with the American technology company Presstek. prior to the international Drupa 2004 exhibition. This was followed by signing of a contract between the two companies on marketing, sale and servicing of CtP Presstek in the Czech Republic, in the Slovak Republic and in other countries of Central and Eastern Europe. Part of the contract is also the sale of the chemistry-free Anthem and process-free Applause printing plates. Grafitec began offering its customers CtP Presstek in the summer months.
