Dobruška / Rondo, one of Europe’s leading producers of folding cartons, clinical inspection samples and specialist packaging for the pharmaceutical industry, has ordered a KBA Rapida 105 six-colour B1 (41in) UV coater press with extended delivery for its subsidiary Rondo-Pak USA, near Philadelphia.

The press, which can print both paper and board, has a high level of automation that includes a no-sidelay KBA DriveTronic Sensoric Infeed System (SIS), KBA DensiTronic S density and spectral imaging control, automatic colour register control and KBA QualiTronic quality inspection. KBA is working with Rondo to optimise the high-speed identification system and adapt it to the packaging industry’s specific needs.
