5.10.2005 / KBA at Printexpo 2005 in Budapest
Dobruška / Focus on small and half-format solutions The KBA group is to be represented at Printexpo 2005 in Budapest from 11th to 14th October through a joint stand of its Hungarian agency Prosystem-Print Kft. and the KBA-Grafitec agency Reprota Kft. ( Hall A, Stand 206 D/E ). The focus of the fair offerings is to be placed on solutions for small and half-format print with a KBA Performa 66, a Genius 52 and the digital sheetfed offset press 46 Karat.
The four-colour Performa 66 (print format 48.5 x 66 cm) is equipped, among other features, with remote ink key and diagonal register adjustment, a GrafiControl control console, automatic blanket and ink roller washing and a perfecting unit. It will be shown printing high-quality posters and postcards. CtP plates are to be supplied from a Presstek Dimension Excel 425 CTP.
The innovative KBA Genius 52 in small format 36 x 52 cm offers users handling predominantly short-run work many interesting advantages over digital printers and competitors with aging conventional equipment thanks to its extremely short job changeover times, the minimal start-up waste of just a few sheets and the superior quality of the waterless offset process. It can be seen at Printexpo printing a variety of jobs on paper. The DI press 46 Karat, which belongs similarly to the A3+ format class, is also set to demonstrate outstanding flexibility in handling short-run print business. The visitors to the stand will even be able to choose the images to be printed themselves from a diversity of existing jobs.
Hungary has become a very interesting market for KBA over the recent years. Thanks to the efforts of its very active agency Prosystem-Print Kft., KBA has been able to gain further sheetfed market shares since 2003. Numerous medium and large-format presses have been delivered to or ordered by Hungarian customers, e.g. in Budapest (Grafit Pencil, Apollo, Stora Enso), Györ (SCA Packaging) and Pécs (G+G Nyomda).
