24.6.2008 / KBA-Grafitec confirm their leadership position on the Polish market

Dobruška / In recent years KBA-Grafitec has built a leading position in the sale of sheet-fed printing presses of the half size format in Poland. After the Drupa world exhibition, the printing presses from Dobruška continue with successful sales on the Polish market. As recent as June, five printing presses left KBA-Grafitec for Polish printshops.

The Dobruška printing presses will be installed in printshops throughout the whole of Poland. The majority of the expedited printing presses are in the SRB2 format. Two KBA Performa 74 printing presses will be installed in the Polish printshops. The first one will be the KBA Performa 74 printing press with four printing units; the second, which is also a Performa 74, will have four printing towers and varnishing unit with an anilox roller and chamber doctor blade.

The Polish customers also significantly contributed to the excellent result of KBA-Grafitec at Drupa 2008 (Jawist at Drupa)

KBA exhibited at the Drupa trade fair the KBA Rapida 75 printing press which was developed in KBA-Grafitec and is also produced in Dobruška. The KBA Rapida 75 replaced the KBA Rapida 74 and the KBA Performa 74 in the KBA product portfolio. The absolutely new addition to the KBA Presses of the SRB2 format is the option of extended American format of 605 x 750 mm. The Polish customers also significantly contributed to the excellent result of KBA-Grafitec at Drupa 2008. The KBA Rapida 75 began to be supplied to customers immediately after its world premier at the Drupa Trade Fair. The indication of this is the example of the export to the Polish market where one of the first printing presses from the serial production of the five-colour KBA Rapida 75-5 printing presses is heading. The four-colour Rapida 75-4 is destined for a different printshop in the South of Poland. In June, another printing press, the KBA Performa 66 will be dispatched to Poland.

The flexible and wide ranging sales and service network in Poland contributes towards the strengthening of the position of the Dobruška printing presses on the Polish market. In 2007, KBA-Grafitec was for the third time, the successive leader in Poland in the sales of printing presses of the half size format with a market share of more than 40%. Last year, KBA-Grafitec supplied Polish printers with printing presses in the extent of 92 printing units. In comparison with 2006, sales increased by 30%. The position of the KBA-Grafitec brand on the Polish market is strengthened by the long-term partnerships with many Polish printshops and the generally good references. Examples of this are the two flights organised for a group of 50 Polish customers and the trip for Polish service organisations. The sale of the KBA Performa 74 and 66 printing presses and currently the KBA Rapida 75 in this first half of the year is a guarantee that the Dobruška printing presses will manage to hold the leading position in Poland even in the 2008 year.
