KBA-Grafitec sold printing machines and services worth more than one billion crowns in 2006. The expansion of the KBA Performa printing machines sales to the printshops in Moravia also contributed to the sales revenue of over one billion crowns. Litera, Brko and Nosova tiskárna from Brno as well as Seritech from Šternberk were among those printshops located in the eastern region of the Czech Republic which installed printing machines produced in Dobruška before the end of the year.

The KBA Performa 66-4 printing machine was installed in the Litera printshop in Brno. The machine is, among other items, equipped with a Simco ionization unit and with the minimum paper size delivery unit adapter. The printer has access to a GrafiControl panel for the remote control of the twenty zone inking units. The control system is optimized for data application in the CIP4 standard. The panel is equipped with a Techkon densitometer. The machine operator has access to cocking, a two sheet electromechanical detector, the remote controlled micro control and the slewing adjustment of the side lay. Technicians from KBA-Grafitec also installed the KBA Performa 66-4 printing machine in the SRA2 format in a similar configuration in the Brko printshop in Brno. The new four-colour machine supplied included the GrafiControl panel and the Techkon densitometer. The printing machine is set for the pre-setting of the twenty zone inking units using the data from the pre-press in the CIP4 standard. The printer’s job is made easier by the two sheet electromechanical detector and the remote controlled micro control and slewing adjustment for the side lay. The machine equipment also includes the minimum paper size delivery unit adapter and the Grafix powder spray unit. The Brko printshop uses the quick-plate clamping bars of the Bacher system.

The KBA Performa 66-4 printing machine

Another Brno company, namely Nosova tiskárna, became the owner of the four-colour KBA Performa 66-4 printing machine. The machine was installed with the complete equipment, including the GrafiControl panel, Techkon densitometer and the system optimized for data application in the CIP4 standard for the pre-setting of the twenty-zone inking units. The machine operator has access to a diagonal crossing of printing forms – cocking and the remote controlled micro control for the side lay. The printing machine is also equipped with InkDry Plus drying and the Grafix powder spray unit.

The Seritech company from Šternberk started printing on the new KBA Performa 66-4 machine. The machine is equipped with the GrafiControl panel, Techkon densitometer and with the preparation for the utilization of the data from the pre-press in the CIP4 standard for the pre-setting of the twenty zone inking units. The automatic inking unit and offset blanket washer improves the printing quality and the comfort of the printer. The printer can use cocking and the remote controlled micro control for the side lay. The machine equipment includes the Simco ionisation unit and InkDry Plus infrared drying.

The latest examples of the installation of the Performa printing machines in Moravian printshops confirm the growing overall market share of the KBA-Grafitec company in the Czech Republic.
