The GrafiControl system can be integrated both into a system using PPF files and into a JDF workflow system. Both solutions allow the GrafiControl system to preset profiles of inking units and values set for the ducts of the printing machine on the basis of CIP4 data generated in the pre-press phase.

1) Integration of the GrafiControl system into workflow with PPF files

PPF files are supplemented with previews of individual colour separations (or possibly generated) together with data creation for the CTP system. There exist two variants for transfer of PPF files into the GrafiControl system:

network connection with TCP/IP protocol (online variant)
by means of USB port (offline variant)

2) Integration of the GrafiControl system into a simplified JDF workflow

The GrafiControl system is connected to the local computer network along with other equipment supporting the JDF standard. Along with data creation for the CTP the RIP generates a JDF ticket for the GrafiControl system. The JDF ticket includes previews of individual colour separations as in the previous case. The GrafiControl system accepts the JDF ticket intended for it and enables its processing.

3) Integration of the GrafiControl system into a complex JDF workflow

The GrafiControl system is connected along with other equipment supporting the JDF standard to the local computer network. Here it waits for the report sent by the MIS (JDF ticket generator) addressed to the GrafiControl system. The JDF ticket includes previews of individual colour separations (as with the PPF file). The GrafiControl system accepts the JDF ticket intended for it and enables its processing. When processing printing tasks the GrafiControl system allows the sending of feedback information to the JDF ticket generator on the status of the printing task.
